Rekkert for iPhone and Apple Watch · Last updated 16 September 2026
Rekkert collects nothing about you. There is no account to create, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party code in the app. Rekkert has no server, so there is nowhere for your information to be sent even if it were wanted.
Everything below is detail on that.
What Rekkert stores
Rekkert keeps what you need to score a match, and it keeps it on your device:
- Scores, sets, games and serve order for the match in progress
- Team and player names you type in
- Saved setups, so a regular format is one tap away
- Past matches and tournaments, so you can look back at them
- Preferences, such as which side is drawn blue
This lives in Rekkert's own storage on your iPhone and Apple Watch. It is not uploaded anywhere. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
What leaves your device, and when
Two things travel, and only between devices you are using:
Your Apple Watch. The match is kept in step between your iPhone and your paired watch, directly, through Apple's own device-to-device link.
Other phones at your court, but only if you share a match. When you choose to share, Rekkert announces itself on the local network you are on and accepts phones that have the short code you read out. Whoever joins receives the match itself — the score, the names, the format — so that everyone can follow and score the same game.
That traffic goes straight from one device to another over the local network. It does not pass through a server, and the connection is encrypted, with the key derived from the code you read out. Rekkert never sees any of it, because there is no "Rekkert" for it to reach.
If you never share a match, nothing ever leaves your phone and watch at all.
What Rekkert does not do
- No analytics, crash reporting or usage measurement
- No advertising, and no tracking for advertising or any other purpose
- No third-party SDKs — the app is built entirely from Apple's frameworks and our own code
- No location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera access
- No accounts, sign-in, email address or anything else identifying you
When Rekkert reads the score aloud, it does so with the speech built into your device. Nothing is recorded, and nothing is sent.
Children
Rekkert is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anybody, children included.
Changes to this policy
If Rekkert ever changes in a way that affects this, the policy will be updated here and the date at the top will change with it. If a future version ever collected anything, it would be described plainly and asked for first.
